Meet the Team - Shoba Ayyamani

She's bold, she's funny, she's the newest addition to the team! Meet Shoba Ayyamani, Manager, Sales, Jack of all trades, and overall rockstar.

Malaysian by birth but grew up in Papua New Guinea! This girl has got some good stories. We wanted to get to know a little bit more about her with a little Q&A, read on to find out more!

Q: What fictional place would you most like to go? Hogwarts for sure.

Q: What would your perfect room look like?

Floor-to-ceiling bookshelves, and one wall just glass facing out over an ocean view.

Q: What job would you be terrible at? Any job that involves me sitting at a desk all day staring at a computer and not getting to meet new people. I have done that and constantly looked forward to getting out and meeting clients.

Q: What songs have you completely memorised? Off the top of my head are Waterfalls by TLC (yes including the rap), Shoop by Salt n Pepa, and Gangsta’s Paradise by Coolio, among many more!

Q: What do you consider to be your best find? Not a find but a book recommendation by my mother was ‘Why Men Don’t Listen and Women Can’t Read Maps’ by Barbara and Allan Pease. It’s all about the difference in the male and female brain functions and why we see things differently, or why men are better in some things and women are better in others…they’re a husband-and-wife writing team and it’s very witty. Everyone should read it.

Q: What would be your first question after waking up from being cryogenically frozen for 100 years? Are we still allowed to consume alcohol or has it been outlawed, because if it has been outlawed I don’t want to be around for that.

Q: What’s the best way to start the day? Coffee and doggie cuddles.

Q: What’s your claim to fame? I helped my friend decide to agree with her partner to name her kids according to the Skywalker Twins and they’re now Luke Sky - and Leia Skye Walker).

Q: What is the most annoying question that people ask you? Are you sure you’re Indian? You’re not dark enough.

Q: What could you give a 40-minute presentation on with absolutely no preparation? The TV Series FRIENDS.

Q: What’s your dream car? BMW Z3 Roadster in Ice Blue….Pierce Brosnan made it look sexy as hell in Goldeneye.

Q: Where is the most interesting place you’ve been? Japan…the old-world culture and traditions melding together with the new-world technology and development is just perfect.

Q: What amazing thing did you do that no one was around to see? If I see poor or homeless people begging for food I will buy them a meal. I cannot accept that people in Malaysia are going hungry, it makes no sense to me. I don’t give them money but will gladly buy them food if that’s what they want the money for.

Q: What fad or trend do you hope comes back? Being kind to other people.

Q: Where would you spend all your time if you could? By the beach with an ice cold beer.

Q: If you could make one rule that everyone had to follow, what rule would you make? Stop being assholes to one another!
